Marie Colby Gougeon

For over 25 years, Marie Gougeon has combined her background in illustration and design with a love for pottery. Her work features hand-carved textures and botanicals, flowers and leaves pressed into the clay, capturing the beauty and detail of the natural world.

Each piece is hand-built and one of a kind, with unique shapes like freeform, oval, and square, and finished on both sides. Made with high-fired clay and glazes, Marie’s pottery is food safe, oven safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe.

Marie has been a potter for over 20 years and a member of the Great Lakes Art & Gifts Co-op Gallery for 12. Her work is featured in juried Michigan art fairs, local galleries, and the Cracked Pot Clay Studio Tour.

Through her pottery, Marie shares her connection to nature, creating functional art that brings beauty into everyday life.
