Karen McGettigan

Karen is a multidisciplinary artist and passionate educator who works with diverse materials such as photography, acrylics, alcohol ink, fabric, yarn, wire, and paper. Her creations range from collages and paintings to whimsical fairy sculptures and monoprints.

One of her favorite techniques is Gelli plate monoprinting—a playful printmaking process that produces unique, layered paintings. Karen enjoys experimenting with botanicals, stencils, and everyday objects to create texture and depth.

Teaching art has recently become a true passion for Karen, who finds great joy in helping others discover their creativity and watching students bring their ideas to life.
